Printable Division Worksheets

Make division worksheets with whole-number answers and no zero divisors. The maker builds each dividend from a divisor and quotient, so beginner questions divide exactly. Choose a short set for sharing or grouping practice, add an optional answer key, and print in A4 or US Letter.

Create a math worksheet

Make your printable sheet

  1. Select Division in the math generator. Choose a number range for divisors and quotients; divisors are always at least 1.
  2. Set the question count, title, page theme and output mode. Review the preview after creating the questions.
  3. Tick the answer-key option if needed. Print the worksheet or download a real PDF, including only the pages you selected.

A starting example

With a range from 1 to 5, a question could be 12 ÷ 3 = ____, because the generator chooses divisor 3 and quotient 4. The dividend can be larger than the selected maximum. This version does not generate remainders, fractions or long-division layouts.

Ideas for your activity

Use counters to explore a question as sharing. For 12 ÷ 3, share twelve counters equally between three groups. Then try grouping: how many groups of three can you make from twelve? Compare the two interpretations without requiring extra written explanation on the sheet.

Connect division to a multiplication fact. If 4 × 3 = 12, then 12 ÷ 3 = 4. Keep an answer key aside while working, or use it afterwards to discuss a missed question. A short page with generous writing space can be more practical than a large mixed list.

Common questions

Are beginner answers always whole numbers?

Yes. Division questions are generated by multiplying a divisor and quotient first. No division by zero is produced.

Can I choose a fresh worksheet?

Yes. New questions uses the current settings. Print or save the result before generating again if you want to keep that exact set.
