Paprilo — Small Pages. Big Discoveries.

Alphabet Tracing Worksheets

Create handwriting practice for a few letter pairs at a time. Paprilo uses a solid model, dashed letter outlines and guide lines, followed by an empty row for independent writing. Enter the letters you want rather than squeezing the whole alphabet onto a single line.

Create a tracing sheet

Make your printable sheet

  1. Open the tracing maker with Aa Bb Cc Dd, or enter your own short group of letters.
  2. Choose uppercase, lowercase or As typed to preserve paired letters. Select a large or regular letter size and the number of tracing rows.
  3. Choose a theme and paper size, check the fit in the preview, then print or download. Long text is reduced to fit, so use smaller letter groups when you want large writing forms.

A starting example

Try Aa Bb Cc Dd for mixed-case practice, or A B C for a shorter uppercase activity. Make another sheet with Ee Ff Gg Hh rather than entering all 26 pairs at once. The guide lines show the top, middle, baseline and descender area; ordinary print letterforms are used, not a specialised school handwriting style.

Ideas for your activity

Begin by looking at the solid row and tracing one letter with a finger. Then follow the dashed outlines with a pencil. Encourage comfortable movement and take breaks when the child is tired; the tool does not assess handwriting or prescribe a teaching method.

Use the blank final row for one independent attempt, or place the printed page inside a reusable sleeve for dry-erase practice. Talk about which letters extend below the baseline, such as g or p. Choose fewer repetitions if a page feels too busy.

Common questions

Are these just pale solid letters?

No. Practice rows use dashed outlines with an empty interior in the preview and PDF.

Which characters work?

Basic Latin letters, common accented letters, digits and basic punctuation are supported. Unsupported characters produce a warning rather than a download with missing text.
